Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We’ve answered the ones we hear most often—no jargon, no judgment.
Your first visit is longer than average—because we actually take time to get to know you. We’ll talk about your history, goals, current struggles, and any past experiences with mental health care. There’s no pressure to decide everything at once. This is the start of a collaboration, not a quiz.
Life happens. We ask for 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment. That gives us a chance to offer that time to someone else who might need it. You can cancel or reschedule directly through the Headway portal or by reaching out to us.
We take a transparent, informed approach to meds. You’ll always know why something is being prescribed, what to expect, and how it fits into your overall care. No mystery prescriptions, no med-shaming. Adjustments happen collaboratively—and we revisit what’s working regularly.
Yes, all appointments are currently virtual via secure video. This helps reduce barriers to care and makes sessions more accessible for folks juggling work, school, chronic illness, or executive dysfunction.
We’re a small practice, so we’re not able to offer 24/7 care—but we’ll always work with you to create a plan for support.
